The honest part

Two different technologies with two different research pictures, and we would rather set that out than blur them together.

Photobiomodulation — red and near-infrared light — is an active field and broadly encouraging, but the protocols in the literature vary so much that reviewers name that inconsistency as its main weakness.

PEMF has been studied for longer than most people assume, but the research is concentrated in areas well outside everyday training, and devices differ so much in frequency and intensity that results from one do not transfer to another. For athletic recovery specifically the picture is thin rather than settled.

So: two technologies with real research behind them and real limits to what that research shows. Anyone quoting you a precise percentage improvement on either is going further than the evidence goes.

Using it

Start short and work up, on bare skin where you can. It gets warm inside an enclosed PU blanket, so keep water nearby. Consistency beats duration — several short sessions a week will do more for you than one long one.
